Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places. FOUNDATION (Prep) ENROLMENT 2027 To start primary school your child must turn 5 years of age or older, by 30 April of the year that they will start school.
All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2026 at Rawson Primary School from Monday 20th April.
Our school uses the Department of Education’s secure digital enrolment system called VicStudents This means you can submit your Foundation (Prep) application/enrolment online and receive updates through the system. If you have any questions about the online enrolment process, please contact our school. Paper enrolment application forms are also available on request.

Other year level enrolments We accept enrolments for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year. If you are seeking enrolment at other year levels, please contact our school for more information.
Supporting documentation for enrolment must be completed if you are enrolling your child for the first time in the Victorian government school system. You will be required to provide the following information and documentation:
evidence of identity and date of birth (for example, a birth certificate or passport)
your contact details
emergency contact details
health information about your child, this must include Asthma, Anaphylaxis or Allergy Action Plans (whichever is relevant)
other legal orders relating to your child and their welfare.
